A huge thank you to all who attended our 2nd Charity Ball! Great Fun was had by all (some even more so than others!) - and over £600 each was raised for Suffolk Befriending Scheme and Sudbury Resource Unit!

DISABILITY AWARENESS TRAINING
COURSE - CERTIFICATED

This
course is an excellent way for new and established volunteers to gain knowledge and confidence -
in fact, we recommend it! Courses are held at least twice a year
(different venue in Suffolk each time) and feedback is always very positive.
Disability Awareness Training is open to registered and non-registered
volunteers. Whilst the training itself is free to volunteers we ask for a
subsidised contribution of £5 (inc VAT) for SBS registered volunteers and £7.50
(inc VAT) per day for non-registered volunteers towards the provision of lunch
and refreshments. Volunteers who attend the course and who subsequently
register with SBS, can be reimbursed for their mileage or bus/train fares once registration
is confirmed.
The training, over three days, represents a total of 6 sessions and delegates must attend 4 out of the 6 sessions to obtain a Certificate.
